Putting Downs First, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization affiliated with the National Down Syndrome Society to benefit people with Down syndrome and their families in our Northeast, Ohio area.

Our Mission

• To offer encouragement to new and expectant parents through education, loving support, and hope for the future.
• To provide families, friends and people touched by Down syndrome information, support, and friendship.
• To further education and awareness of the benefits for inclusion of persons affected by Down syndrome in our society.

Our Goals

• Educate Families, Friends & The Community
  • Provide information and resources to assist families and friends of those with Down syndrome.
  • Raise Down syndrome awareness by educating others about Down syndrome and those who live with it.
  
  
• Advocate For Those With Down Syndrome
  • Establish programs to enrich the lives of people with Down syndrome.
  • Create opportunities to help them grow, experience new things, and achieve their potential.
  
  
• Promote Acceptance and Inclusion
  • Encourage interaction between those with Down syndrome and the community to facilitate acceptance & understanding.
  • Provide integrated environments where typical children are able to enjoy playing & developing friendships with kids with Down syndrome.
