UPCOMING EVENTS

Next in our lineup of events is Ladies Day Out on Saturday, April 10th at Grace United Methodist Church Social Hall (1725 Drexel Ave. in Warren). 10am to 2pm. This will be a shopping experience with independent sales representatives from companies like Pampered Chef, Tupperware, Mary Kay, Lia Sophia, Party Lite, Silpada Jewelry, Tastefully Simple,etc. We also invite organizations such as La Leche, Someplace Safe, & WIC, who focus on women's needs to provide information to our shoppers. Lunch will be served.

Powder Puff Girlie Golf at Duck Creek - Saturday, June 12th at 10am. A Golf Outing like no other! If you think a CART is what you use for shopping, TEE TIME is a fancy lunch, and a DRIVER is what you are to your kids, then you'll fit right in. Strictly for us girls who don't know how to golf.
Last year our Girlie Golf experiment was such a Blast, everyone said we had to do it again. Grab your best girlfriends and join the fun! Each team will consist of 3 Powder Puff Girlie Golfers and 1 Seasoned Pro to show the Girlies what to do. The cost is $25. This includes a golf cart (which can be decorated in Powder Puff Girlie Style, golf fees, lunch, trivia games, prizes, and whatever other silliness we come up with! 4th Annual Golf Outing at Walnut Run in Cortland. Saturday, July 17th. Price includes 18 Holes, Cart, Continental Breakfast, Hot Dog Lunch, & Catered Dinner.
Calling All Golfers!!! We have had great success with our previous outings, although we have only had a few participants. Please consider joining us this year to help us raise funds to put on our 4th Annual Buddy Walk! We had rave reviews of last years Buddy Walk & with the support of our golfer friends, this year we can make it even better.

"For You, For Me" Celebrate the Easter season with a moving performance of music and mime by a group of talented young area teens. Follow them through the life of Christ from His baptism by John to His Passion and death. The original work by Kay and Len Suzelis, is narrated from the Gospel accounts and set to music that tells the story through the eyes of those who walked with Jesus. April 17, 2010 1 pm Pat Catan's Craft Day at the Niles store. The wonderful instructors at Pat Catan's Craft Center are planning a special craft for us at PDF to make. Come enjoy the creativity & FUN!

Dawn Speece, PT has welcomed PDF on a field trip to experience the horse therapy she offers at the Speece family cabin. The children will divide into groups, talk about what horses eat, grooming tools and behavior in a barn. Then they will walk the 1/8 mile path to visit the horses. Once in the barn, each group will be assigned a horse and, as able, the children help groom and saddle it. Then 'pony rides' are offered for a movement experience, typically 1 to 2 times around the ring, depending on the group size. Everyone will then return to the cabin for a picnic. Ms. Speece requires a doctor's x ray confirmation of atlanto occipital stability for children with Down Syndrome for safety before actually getting on the horse.
